A little reminder - when you are stressed, especially for extended periods, you are likely depleted in magnesium, zinc, B vitamins and vitamin C.
Also certain medications such as nexium and other PPIs, as well as metformin and even the OCP, can also impact micronutrient status.
Then of course, there are conditions such as pyrrole disorder, where additional B6 and zinc is required.
Hence a balanced diet, with plenty of variety (not the processed, packaged, sugar laden type!) and a great multi does wonders!
You can ask your Dr in your bloods to test magnesium, zinc, B12 and B9 (folate levels), although serum magnesium is not necessarily a great gauge of levels, but it gives you an idea.
